What is Breathwork?
To use simple words, with the word breathwork we refer to conscious breathing practices aiming to improve our physical and mental health, and/or to lead to an altered state of mind.
Although nowadays its practice is highly scientifically supported, many breathwork techniques have been used for thousands of years.
Our techniques blend ancient knowledge with the latest scientific discoveries providing excellent and safe results.
How can Breath work improve your life?
There are many different techniques that can positively impact your life in different ways.
Here are some examples of how breathwork can help you:
Psychologically – it keeps your mind sharp yet rested. It’s also a great tool for emotional processing/release.
Physically – it reduces stress and inflammation. This can improve your digestion, sleep, libido, and much, much more.
Spiritually – it helps you go inward, connects you with your inner self and what truly matters to you.
Why do we use it to work through Trauma?
The rational and subconscious mind are related to different parts of the brain. Breathwork practices helps activate the subconscious part of the brain.
Emotions associated with traumatic events are stored in our subconscious; accessing it helps with processing of trauma.
Note: a safe space and trust in your facilitator is essential.
What can you experience during breathwork
During our breathwork sessions, you may experience vivid hallucinations, a profound sense of oneness with the universe, and deep emotional release.
Often, people experience a sense of greater self-awareness and spiritual insight.
Also, it’s common to feel a strong drop in aggressivity, leaving space for a sense of surrender and forgiveness.
Why do people hallucinate?
The type and intensity of hallucinations you can experience varies from person to person.
Practicing our breathwork leads you to altered states of consciousness, which is supported by the release of DMT (a highly psychedelic compound) from our pineal gland, also known as the “Third Eye Chakra.”
Note: We naturally produce small amounts of DMT when we dream.
Who should not do Breathwork?
People with heart problems, epilepsy, or significant mental health issues should consult their doctor or therapist before approaching practices like breathwork.
Pregnant women should also seek medical advice before participating.
Note: Please approach these practices carefully and in a safe environment.
What can I expect during a session?
We start with a brief conversation to understand your needs and why you want to do a session.
I will explain to you what to expect during the session and the breathwork technique. And there is space for your questions.
We will then start the practice of a personalized breathwork.
The practice ends with a meditation guided by specific sound healing frequencies.
Is it safe to practice our technique alone?
At Alchemy Lab our main goal is to empower you.
I will support you as much as possible to learn enough to practice autonomously.

How can the price of a session variate?
Two key factors influence the price:
1. The duration of your session.
2. Your budget.
We suggest a price, but you decide what to pay at the end. Those who can contribute more help cover the cost for others who can’t meet the standard rate.
